Natale Builders introduced the Chateaus at Avalon Meadows, a 44-lot patio home community with condo status, in the second phase of development in Avalon Meadows off Casey Road, Amherst.

The European chateau-themed homes feature stone and shake shingle exteriors, boxed bay windows and clipped gables. Six ranch designs offer two- or three-bedroom floor plans ranging in size from 1,600 to 2,300 square feet of living space.

The “Messina” model at 165 Nicole Ct. is a mid-size design with approximately 2,000 square feet of living space. The two-bedroom, two-bath patio home showcases high, volume ceiling and an open floor plan, noted Peter Kress, director of sales for the builder.

Begin the tour at the sheltering front porch and the eight-foot, leaded-glass front door. A welcoming foyer greets guests with a 15-foot ceiling height, ceramic tile flooring and exposed ceiling beams along the long hallway.

The guest bedroom is to the left; it has private access to the main bath. The office is situated on the other side of the foyer. A contemporary-style “barn door” encloses the den/office.

The foyer leads to the 12-foot high ceilings in the great room (pictured above).  A fireplace on the far wall has a series of transom windows above with custom window grates.

The kitchen and dining area are to the right of the great room for a grand entertainment space. A large island complements the L-shaped kitchen work area and serves as a sit-at counter and a work station.

The kitchen highlights granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances and white painted cabinets. The adjoining dining area shows a cathedral ceiling with a specialty window that overlooks the central lake of the community. A patio door in the dinette leads to the cover porch.

The master bedroom suite is to the left of the great room. It also has access to the covered porch. A boxed tray ceiling, walk-in closet with California Closets, and a private bath with over-sized ceramic tile shower and dual sink vanity complete the suite, continued Kress.

Standard features include ceramic tile and hardwood flooring throughout most of the main rooms, solid core doors and architectural trim moulding. Geothermal heating and cooling is included and the model home is plumbed for solar. A front sprinkler system and landscaping are included.

This model with various upgrades is priced at $499,900. “Chateau home prices starting the upper $300s,” noted Kress,  “and just 13 sites remain.”

To visit, take Youngs Road to Casey Road and turn left to Avalon Meadows. The model is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
